I’ve been making this Brussels sprout recipe for years now!
This recipe is so simple and delicious and really elevates an otherwise bland vegetable.
Made with a simple balsamic glaze from balsamic vinegar, honey, and a pinch of rosemary, these are the perfect sweet and savory Brussels sprouts to enjoy at your next dinner party.
The only problem is…once you make these, you’ll be tainted 😀 and you won’t be able to just have plain Brussels sprouts anymore. Sorry!
Hope you love.
Crispy Balsamic Bacon Brussels Sprouts Recipe
Serves: 6-8.
Ingredients:
2 pounds Brussels sprouts (I like the mini ones!), cut into fourths
8 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
3 pinches salt
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup honey
¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
What To Do:
Preheat your oven to 400° F.
Prepare a baking sheet with your Brussels, bacon, oil, and salt. Mix well and lay everything in a flat layer, trying not to overlap anything on top of each other.
Once your oven has preheated, bake for 10 minutes. Stir and bake for another 10, or until getting crispy and just a tiny bit charred.
Meanwhile, make the balsamic glaze. Bring the balsamic vinegar, honey, and rosemary to a low boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
Reduce to a simmer and let bubble for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and reduced by about ⅓.
Be careful not to over-reduce or over-boil, otherwise, the sauce will burn and become too sticky and hard. You’ll have to start over if this happens.
Once the Brussels are slightly charred and cooked, pour balsamic glaze over while still hot. Stir to coat everything.
Serve hot! Enjoy as an appetizer or side. (Admittedly, I will eat these until I’m full sometimes too hehe).
Notes:
Air fryer recipe: You could absolutely make this recipe in your air fryer as well.
Preheat your air fryer for 10 minutes. Cook at 400° for the same amount of time (10 minutes, stir, 10 minutes).
The only downside with this is that you’ll likely have to cook in more than one batch.
Half this recipe if you don’t need as much.
